Hey, Jakarta!

I was in Jakarta from Thursday until Sunday, for work.
*shifty eyes*

W.O.R.K, hardwork
(But why take photos of work when play is much more fun? *shifty eyes*)

Day 1

Stayed in Rash's Service apartment.
It's a huge apartment located in a GOLF CLUB, where you have a golf course (duh), with 3 swimming pools, tennis courts, badminton court, basketball court, EVERYTHING.
Rash is renting that place for RM10k per month.
Eh, no.
Shell is renting the place for RM10k per month.
Ahh. Lucky Expats!

Went for a fashion show in Senayan City.
It took me 1 hour plus just to travel 10 kilometers.
Sigh.

Dinner at Kemang Food Fest.
The place was, hmm, OKAY.
Didn't really catch my attention.

What really caught my attention is this:-
THIS Blackberry casing.

You think it's a chocolate... but tadaaaa
Nooo It's my Blackberry! -__-
(Okay, lame, I know)

Only for RM12!

Day 2

"Kenapa banyak-banyak tempat menarik di Jakarta, kau mahu upload gambar kau minum Teh Botol di tepi longkang di atas bangku buruk ini, Aziati?"
"Eh tapi tak ke nampak macam betul-betul budak Jakarta, duduk melepak bersahaja begini?"

(I am talking to myself lately, I am that weird now)

The thing I love the most about Day 2.

Corn in cup with Cheese!

OMG Yummy!!!

Went for dinner at Kuningan Village.
Very chic, very elegant, I like!

Day 3

Okay I spend MOST of my time in the car in Jakarta -____-

Everywhere is so jam, or they call it "Macet" here in Jakarta.
Like, really.

To travel from one place to another, few kms, it will take me at least 1 hour.

I'd sit, sleep, wake up, and sleep again, and wake up again, and pretend to be happy, pretend to sing, sleep again, wake up again (yes, you get the point), in the car.

So guess where I ended taking most of my photos from?

I think I annoyed the hell out of the driver with the flashes from my camera -__-

Segmen Raya Pertama - 2010

Meet Grumpy.
Hahahaha.
That's Grumpy, in her Hari Raya mode.

And Little Monster ;)

Yes, yes, I know.. (and so does everybody)
That Little Monster is my favorite and I hardly pay attention to Little Elena Grumpy.
Hahaha.
Guilty as charged.

Anyway, I've been really really lazy to update.
Plus, the UNIFI at home is not really compatible with my iMAC -___-
Apparently I need to get a better router to enable the WiFi at this house.

Few months back, my sister asked me to choose a theme color for this year raya, and I said, "Yellow."
So on the first day of Raya, I came downstairs with my awesome Yellow baju raya, and, only to realize that everybody was wearing Pink!!!
(Because Dad thinks Yellow is so not his color)

Sigh.
So I went upstairs and wore this 'I look like I'm pregnant' baju to match everybody.

(I was wearing Yellow for few hours, but my Sister got annoyed with the color, because I was so out of theme, but hello, I was THE ONLY one with the theme, the theme is Yellow remember!)

See how adorable he is?
(So what if he's my favorite? Hahaha!)

I'm such a Daddy's girl.
As I seek for his forgiveness during 1st day of Raya,
he told me he only wished for 2 things:-
1) For me to get married in the next 2 years (***shifty eyes***)
2) For me change my decision about work
(in other words, QUIT WORKING for Shell) hahhaha
*double shifty eyes*

Oh, and yes, Daddy got me a Raya present -____-

Notice Daddy behind there?
I was so busy taking pictures I didn't even realize Daddy sedang baca-baca Doa & Ayat Kursi for my new car -___-

Mission #5: Go to Museum Negara (You, Lonely Girl, You)

Last weekend, my sister threw Elena (her daughter), a 1st birthday party.
I think she had like 70 kids over to our house.
It was like a mini kindergarden, plus 2 adults for each kid.
70 X 2 parents = 140 adults. 140 adults + 70 kids = 210 people.
Sheesh.

Anyway, I met one of my primary school friends, who is now working with my sister.
She came to me and asked me, "Do you remember me?"
I didn't.
And she continue to tell me,
"But I remember you. You're the girl that eats alone at the canteen! You had no friends."
Hahahaha WTF right.

Yes, I am, that pathetic
Hahahahahaha.
If I tell you my childhood history,
you'd probably nominate me for the best "Chicken Soup" series.
LOL

I had no friends.
I practically was scared of everyone but my own family.

I remember once, when I was seven, there was a field trip to Muzeum Negara.
I wanted to go so badly, but we had to come in partners.
I, obviously had no friends, apart from, er, my own family.
And we could NOT bring our family.
It was a SCHOOL trip, for SCHOOL kids of my age.

So when I was seven, I didn't go.
Hahahahahahahahahhahaha FML

So today, I finally did it.
I FINALLY WENT TO MUZEUM NEGARA.

Ini rupanya rupa Museum Negara... (Jakun)
Kenapa kau berpakaian sebegini?
Kerana
A) I was from work
B) I didn't get to go when I was in school, so aku berpakaian ala budak sekolah, OK tak macamni? Kononnya macam flashback ini field trip when I was 7 lah -_-
Hang Tuah!
Takkan Hilang Melayu di Dunia.
I like!
*pats Hang Tuah's shoulders*
See, I'm not the ONLY one with a fascination for shoes.
Memang dari zaman dahulu kala lagi perempuan memang suka kasut, tahu?
Tak sangka aku sampai juga ke Museum Negara.
(Cheh cara cakap macam aku ni bukan orang KL.
Tahu tak museum tu cuma 10 minutes drive from your house? Pffft)

Mission #20: Spend Time with Anak Yatim

Last weekend, I was invited to be the MC for Subang Jaya Charity Futsal,
organized by Subang Old Boys.
(And me, coming from Subang Jaya = 1 point,
I love Subang Jaya = 2 points,
it's for Charity = 3 points,
there will be anak Yatim!= 4 points,
Azri is one of Subang Old Boys = 5 points..
OK too many points to decline such an invitation, NO?)

In total, we had 24 teams that participated in this Charity Futsal.
24!
Not bad, huh?

The Kids from Rumah Amal Kasih Bestari
Look at them, so macho OK ;)
We even had a clown that day.
A clown whom refused to make me a flower balloon bracelet.
(Clown pilih kasih. Are you reading this?
CLOWN PILIH KASIH pfft)
Some of the Futsal players.
I don't know why I was the over-excited one, running ahead of everyone.
Sigh.
We raised RM2.6k that day, which is cool,
because the crowd/participants were mostly those yang masih belajar atau just started working.
So RM2.6k is awesome.
And it all goes to Anak-anak Yatim.
Double awesome.

I had real fun with the kids.

You know,
our life (my siblings and I) is so easy, so simple,
that sometimes we take for granted the things we have.

Azri thought me one thing when he came back from Ghana,
"To whom much is given, much is expected."
I try my best live by that.

Because God has given so much to me, to us.
Much is expected back from us.
InsyaAllah,
We will not take for granted the things we have, and share as much as we can.
And if we forget, please tap our shoulders and remind us.

We need each other to make the world go round, no?

Subang Old Boys, thumbs up for the great event :)

Mission #1: Learn to Cook 35 Dishes

Couple weeks back, I went to Rahsia for dinner.

Very chic.
Very classy.
Very private.
Very romantic, but that's not point, for now.
*grins*

The point for now, is, I had this awesome drink.
It's called "Asmara"
Yes, I know.
You can just imagine my mood while drinking.
Haha WTF.
Behave.
(Lately I've been talking to myself, a lot. Weird.)

I was so inspired by the drink, that I decided make my very own Asmara.

Step 1:- Buy:- Ice Cream Soda, Mint Leaf, Watermelon, Syrup

Step 2:- Dice up the watermelon, mate!
(while talking like Jamie Oliver, mamat tu cakap macam pelat sikit kan..
macam tak reti sebut huruf S.. )

Step 3:- Tumbuk daun pudina.
Cheh cheh tetiba cakap bahasa melayu pasal tak tahu tumbuk daun pudina macamana nak tulis dalam English.
Hahahaha WTF
Punch the mint leaf. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Step 4: Mix the syrup with Ice Cream Soda.
(Oh, please make sure you mix the diced watermelon as well at let it absorb the flavor, at least for few hours)
Nanti bila you makan tembikai tu, dapat rasa soda soda sikit masa you kunyah. Sedap OK

FYI, it's nicer when after the diced watermelon are ready,
you blend the soda with ice, instead of just serving it with ice.

And seriously, don't you think my Asmara looks much nicer than Rahsia's Asmara?

Step 5:- The most important step of all,
GET SOMEONE TO COMPLIMENT YOUR DRINK!
(Samada secara rela atau tidak.
Tengok dari gaya muka Azam, macam rela ke tak? Hahaha)

PS> I know I'm supposed to learn to Cook 35 Dishes, and this does not qualify as a dish.
But, and I quote Zerol from earlier today, "Itu belog you, sukahati apa you nak tulis."
*LOL*

Anyway, just to amuse you guys,
I did learn how to cook :)

Mission #17: Cheese Bike

Lazy Sunday, at home.

H kata,

"Macam Barney, naik basikal."

WTF!

*** I quote AKAB. (Yes, I still quote you, grins)

He once quoted Mitch Hedberg, I think (Is it? I don't know, you deleted your entry),
"I sit in my apartment,
Think of things that are funny.
Then get a pen & write them down.
And if the pen is too far away,
Then I convince myself that it is not funny"

When I first saw the Ghost Bike, I thought it was perfect.
But when I saw the price, I convinced myself that it was not that perfect, anyway.

And when I found something I can afford,
I convinced myself that it was actually the perfect bike for me.
That, that was the real "Ghost Bike."

My company calls this 'Top Bottom' exercise.
I call this comedy.
That's why I'm smiling now.

****** You don't always get what you want.

But you can always be happy with what you can get.
