I remember the days when I could write anything I want, however I want.
I miss those days.

No longer can I do those things, simply because if I do, truth will not sit well with the reality.

I've been so busy, so occupied with the things that is happening here.

Everyday is an adventure for me, always.

Plus, there are so many other social media that takes up so much of your time, it's hard to keep up!

I don't know who people keep up with the Internet.

9Gag, News, Google, Wikipedia, Yelp, TravelAdvisor, Blogs - like seriously, when will I have enough time to read all of them - not to forget all the awesome TV series that's happening on AT&T - the new movies that comes out, and most importantly - THE REAL LIFE!!!

Oh well.

I will try to keep up.

The Shake that Shakes You

Being a food lover, one of my favorite things to do is to explore new and different places to eat.

It was a hot day here in the States so I went round and round and found myself at Goode Company Taqueria.

One of my friend told me about their To-Die-For Pecan Pie so I thought it'd be a great time to have that for tea time.

While waiting for it, I saw Chocolate Cinnamon Shake on their menu and decided to try it.

Oh. My. God.

It is TO DIE FOR.

I am officially addicted to it, regardless of how many calories it adds to my body.

I think its worth every single calorie.

The Absence of Words.

I envy those who could write every single thing in their life, especially their lowest, darkest and saddest moments, so freely and openly for everyone to read. I sallute them.
I can never do the same.

I've started writing in my journal again.
My physical journal.
With an actual pen.

My pen write words I simply can never share through the soft clicks of a keyboard, publicly.
My journal keeps my soul, sane.

The Between

My best friend told me something rather fascinating today.

She said few years ago, reading my writings, she realized there was a bundle of happiness in between the lines.

And somehow, someway, nowadays, all she can read in between my words are the unwritten explanation of things sometimes needs more than an educated guess to figure.

Those are my words, really.

All she said was "Eh Apsal sekarang you punya blog dah tak happy macam dulu?"
I have a way of making simple things, complicated.

The Nothingness of Nothing.

I don't think I can ever accept the fact that one should never eat 3 scoops of Hagendaz Midnight Cookies and Cream with chocolate fudge and Oreo cookies at 1130pm.

The Notebook.

The second thing I love the most about E-books (Kindle, iPad, nOOk) is how cheap the prices are when you buy them electronically. (The first thing I love is its E-ink technology)

I just bought a book that would cost me $25 on print but it was only $8 from Amazon Kindle. Such awesome savings, right?

But I can't lie, I still love going to the bookstores, and like my little brother will always say "There's something about the smell of a book and the feel of paper that makes the reading an experience." (Such a nerd. Lol)

I somewhat agree with him.

But instead of going to purchase a book, I go to the bookstore to browse on what are the nice/new books available especially at the "Best Sellers" areas.

I still like to run my fingers across the pages and read the synopsis and have a feel of the book.

And when I'm happy with feel and flow of the book, I flip it close, go online and buy e-Book for half the price and read from my Kindle. (Yes, I'm cheap lol)

I however, usually end up buying notebooks every time I go to the bookstore. The feeling I get when I write (with a pen) on a Moleskine (or any paper notebook) is something any iPad/technology have yet to match or replace.

Well, at least for me.

I was wearing Eggs white blouse, Zara green pants and Gucci clutch that my Daddy got my Mama in 1970s and my Mama decided to hand it down to me. Vintage!

Sundae

If you know me personally, you would know that I'm a true believer of work life balance.

I also believe that it is not the amount of hours you put in everyday, it is the quality of what you do.

So the more efficient you are at your work, the more life you will get :)

I am also a firm believer that weekends and (after 5pm for weekdays) are NOT meant for work.

That is why when I had to spend my Sunday preparing for a presentation on Monday, I was disappointed with myself for not able to be efficient enough to avoid having working over the weekends.

But I guess it is expected, with the new role and covering such a big market in industries I know nothing about.

I'm allowing myself to suck and sulk for the next 3 months, but I have set a personal goal for me to be amazing and effective by end of June.

Oh well.

I still had an amazing Sunday since I went out for dinner to my most favorite Japanese restaurant where all the dishes are signature dishes and was simply delicious! :)

Sunny Days

I've always been the kind of girl that gets cold easily, for example, I :
a) have to wear a jacket all the time
b) sleep with a blanket every night
c) don't use air-cond (even while driving -__- )
Today was a sunny day.

I think my favorite part of the year is the few weeks towards end of Winter and before Spring.

Kindle Touch

So excited to be able to buy books at half the price (for most of it), and reading it out from such a thin and perfectly sized Kindle.

What really got my attention was its E-Ink display, which makes reading from the Kindle feels exactly like reading from a book, as compared to iPad with LCD display with backlight feels more high tech.

Sometimes it's nice to go back to the basics, with a touch of modernization.

It was raining non-stop over the weekend, a real bummer because we had a nice outdoor outing all planned out.

I ended up being addicted to "Draw Something" app in iPad.

It's been a while since I wrote this for you.

John Legend for Houston Rodeo

I was never into John Legend, but that man can really sing.

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (HLSR) is the world's largest entertainment and livestock show.

Every year, more than 2 million people come for this show.

The event goes on for over a month, with different performances every night.

There HLSR has 4 main events, 1 is the Livestock show, where you get to see the coolest cattle, pigs, horses, sheeps, etc for exhibition, for sale and to be 'judged'.

There's also a carnival, awesome funfair where you get to ride the craziest (by this, I mean that it is so wicked because I question its safety since the rides are the 'arrange and dismantle' kind of rides) rides like Ferris Wheel, Roller coasters, and many more. (You also get to see pig races. LOL hilarious)

3rd, would be the Championship Rodeo action, where you get to see people on their horses flipping the ropes and doing stunts.

Finally, would be the concerts they have after the Rodeo action, from various artists performing. The night that I went was Lady Antebellum in action.

After experiencing Rodeo, I've decided.

I want to ride a sheep to work.

In Between the Lines.

It's funny when I first came here I was so cold towards the cold and now that Winter is almost over, and the warmth of Spring is starting to brush my skin, I just wish the chill breeze would be forever.

Captain America

Monster Jam.

It's about monster trucks flying across the hills and cars and flipping itself over.

And catch a fire, every once in a while.

One day when I drive a monster truck, I will make it a point to run over as many cars as possible. It looks like so much fun.

The Plan I Have

There are also some days, I just wish everything would just stand still, so that I can hold on to whatever it is I want to hold on to, and let go of all the noise.

But those days.... They just exist in my head.
